Apparently Jon Bon Jovi isn’t wanted in Buffalo anymore.

After Buffalo Bills owner, Ralph Wilson, passed away, rumors sparked about Jon Bon Jovi possibly buying the team and moving them to Toronto.

Buffalo fans have made it clear that they aren’t interested in the idea, so much so, that a company called 12th Man Thunder started a campaign to get bars and restaurants throughout the region to stop playing Bon Jovi’s music.

They even created a poster to mark the establishments as “Bon Jovi Free Zones”:

If Buffalo successfully bans Bon Jovi from their city, they won’t be the first ones to do it.

Some of your favorite pop stars have already been banned from cities and countries in one capacity or another:

1. Beyonce was banned from performing in Malaysia because of her sexy attire.

In 2009, conservative Muslim groups protested against Beyonce’s “risque” tour attire and overly-sexy dance moves. Cultural laws in Malaysia forbid any hint of cleavage and they strongly suggest that women be covered from shoulder to knee.

Sorry Malaysia, but Beyonce’s got legs for days.

2. Miley Cyrus was banned from China for posting a picture online.

Sometimes parents warn their kids that their future could be affected by what they post online. For example – they might not get the job because of their status update from last weekend.

Well, Miley Cyrus learned this hard way. Times a million. Miley was banned from China after posting a picture of herself imitating a Chinese friend. She is now forbidden from performing, twerking or operating any business in China.

3. Lady Gaga was banned from Malaysia for her “gay” lyrics.

Lady Gaga was banned from performing a sold-out 52,000 seat show in Malaysia because of her famous line, “No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life…” from Born This Way.

Even though we see the lyric as open and welcoming to everyone, the country deemed the words as offensive.

4. Madonna was banned from Egypt because of her beliefs.

In 2004 Egypt banned Madonna from the country because of her Kabbalah beliefs. Pretty harsh!

5. Jay-Z was banned from China because of his vulgar lyrics.

We just don’t understand this one. Didn’t they know his music before they booked him for a show?

In 2006, Jay-Z was barred from China for his vulgar lyrics, forcing him to cancel his Shanghai show.
